Course Description

The accurate diagnosis of bipolar disorder and its comorbid conditions is a critical aspect of mental health care, contributing to effective treatment planning to improve client outcomes and achieve therapeutic success. This program will explore the challenges faced by clinicians in diagnosing bipolar disorder, especially when it is accompanied by other coexisting mental health disorders. We are going to break down this complex disorder and its common complex comorbid conditions to build your knowledge base, insight, and awareness to help you have a great impact on your clients who have bipolar disorder.

An understanding of bipolar disorder, its various subtypes, symptomatology, and the common comorbid conditions often present alongside it.

Knowledge to surmount obstacles to accurate diagnosis: Using research and clinical experience, Dr. Fox will identify the challenges clinicians encounter when diagnosing bipolar disorder, including differentiating it from other mood disorders, personality disorders, and anxiety disorders.

Uncovering diagnostic strategies and efficacious treatment: This workshop will focus on reliable diagnostic approaches and efficacious treatment when working with individuals diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

About Daniel Fox
Daniel J. Fox, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist based in Texas, a renowned international speaker, and a recipient of multiple awards for his work as an author. With over two decades of experience, he has focused on the treatment and evaluation of individuals with personality disorders in various settings, including the state and federal prison system, universities, and private practice. Dr. Fox's expertise lies in personality disorders, ethics, burnout prevention, and emotional intelligence. He is retired from the federal prison system after 21 years, and he also holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Houston, while maintaining a private practice specializing in the assessment and treatment of individuals with complex psychopathology and personality disorders. Dr. Fox has conducted numerous workshops and seminars on topics such as ethics and personality disorders, the relationship between personality disorders and crime, treatment approaches for clients across the antisocial, borderline, narcissistic, and histrionic personality spectrum, emotional intelligence, and mental health management within the prison system, among others.

What are the requirements for obtaining CEs?
Participants must have paid the tuition fee, watched the entire recorded program, and passsed a quiz with a score of 75% or higher before they will have access to Self-Study CE credits. *For ASWB CE Credits, a mandatory evaluation will need to be completed prior to a certificate being issued.
Do I have to pay extra for CE credits?
No. The cost of CE credits is included with your course registration fee.​
